Way to go China! China is Sending 1000 Troops to Lebanon for Peace Keeping into Lebanon. Due to The United Nations Security Council number 1701; peace keeping forces will be sent into Lebanon in order to prevent a re-spark up of the Hezbollah-Israel.

It looks like China is taking a huge role in all of this and this is something new for China because generally they have not wished to participate is such things. They were not involved in the Coalition in Iraq and have not helped in other things. China is also beginning to flex a little bit of its military muscle and letting the World know it is all it claims to be.

Although to China’s credit they did build tent cities in Indonesia after the Sumatra Earthquake and the big Indonesia Tsunami. China has been a good nation in such efforts. China is growing and it has the resources to afford more of these things, as its economy is nearly the third largest in the World and growing.

The United Nations still has a long way to its goal of 15,000 troops but having China step up to the plate in such a big way in the Lebanon Conflict is a major dent in that goal. China is making a good strategic move too, because these peace keepers are wanted by all sides; Lebanon, Middle East Nations and Israel and the United States too. Consider all this in 2006.
