The United States of America is very interested in maintaining its advantage in current lead in high-tech fields and scientific discovery. However other fast-moving superpowers of the future such as India and China are hot on the trail to become the number one nations for innovation. Larger countries with more population have more people to draw from in order to find the geniuses and allow their creative genius to flourish within their societies.

Smaller countries have to work twice as hard or three times as hard in order to propel a higher percentage of brilliant and or geniuses to the levels needed to make large numbers of scientific breakthroughs. It has been noted that certain types of countries and government structures such as capitalism work much better in promoting people with entrepreneurial and innovative talents. Both India and China have significant population bases to draw from, so they have some good opportunities ahead.

What about a small country like Canada? Canada is working very hard to modify its populations to become a knowledge society. Will this work? It may and it depends very much on how they go about things, however they have one disadvantage and that is they are running a country that is much more socialistic in nature. Do you believe that Canada has a chance in achieving what the United States has achieved in innovation with its small population?

Actually know I do not, I do not believe that Canada could ever catch the United States of America or even get close, but I would say that Canada working with the United States can join in much of the fruits of both of our labors in the fields of scientific discovery.

If you had a choice; which country would you live in China, Canada or the United States of America and why? Most people who are interested in innovative pursuits who are asked which country they would rather live in that currently live in India, China, Canada all choose the United States of America as the greatest nation ever created in the history of mankind and the best place to live.
